The petitioners are mentioned as victuallers of the castle and town of Cherbourg in CCR 1381-5, p.473 (12 August 1384), p.476 (24 September 1384), p.484 (4 October 1384), pp.485-6 (11 November 1384) and pp.495-6 (26 November 1384). These entries concern a ship freighted by the petitioners and seized by the men of Harfleur and Honfleur during the truce with France: it is impossible to tell if this is the matter referred to here, but it gives an approximate date for the petitioners.
