Gerard Murth of Genoa, captain of a carrack of Genoa called the 'St Mary and St Anthony', currently at Southampton, who wishes to go to Middelburg and to return to England with various merchandise, requests a safe-conduct for one year for his ship, the captain, pilots and mariners, and the goods in it, to go from and return to Southampton or any other port in England he wishes, loaded or unloaded, to trade and to freight his ship with merchandise as he pleases, paying the appropriate customs.
