The Mayor and barons of Rye state that the Duke of Lancaster has asked them to nominate John Hoton, chaplain, as warden of the hospital of St Bartholomew in Rye, which is vacant and the nomination to which belongs to them. They ask the Chancellor to accept this nomination, and to present it to the Bishop of Chichester.
