Nature of request
Response to a writ of Richard II by the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, stating that they have found in the account of John de Bisshopeston, escheator of Sussex and other counties, from Michaelmas 43 Edward III to Michaelmas 44 Edward III that the Escheator answered for the issues of certain tenements in New Shoreham and Old Shoreham which Thomas de Bokyngham held of Lord Mowbray on the day he was outlawed in a plea of debt at the suit of John Wedye and Peter le Man; and giving the valuation of these tenements according to an inquisition held on the day Thomas was outlawed.
