Nature of request
Adam Coppandale and his companions state that they loaded wools into a ship at Kingston upon Hull to take overseas, paying the due customs on them, but that during a storm a great part of these wools were thrown overboard to save the ship, and nine sacks came safely ashore. The request a writ to the customs officers in Kingston upon Hull, informing them that customs have been paid on this wool and asking them to allow it to be taken overseas without customs being paid a second time.
