William Canynges states that he loaded 60 lasts of hides into small ships in Ireland, to take to Calais, and that he paid customs on them there and has letters of cocket, but that the ships have been driven into Bristol by a storm. He requests a writ to the customs officers there to allow him to continue to Calais with the hides, without paying customs a second time.
