Nature of request
Writ of Edward III to the Sheriff of Cambridgeshire, asking him to hold an inquisition into the claim of Richard de Welleford and Geoffrey de Weston, merchants of London, that they were robbed on the King's highway between Arrington and Caxton, and that although they raised the hue and cry after that robbery, the people of those parts did not attempt to attach the malefactors, but allowed them to escape.
