The petition requests writs to the Sheriffs, Mayor and Bailiffs of York to cease arresting or imprisoning William de Hauceby of Blacktoft, cogger, as he left the York barge last year at Sandwich by permission of Adam de Hertyngdon because he was ill, and certain people have sued capias against him through malice.
