Nature of request
The petition requests four sets of letters patent:1) To Laurence de Alverthorp and Richard Werley to arrest all ships between Lynn and Berwick with a tonnage of 40 tons and above, and have then come to Plymouth by 1 May, and to arrest sufficient mariners for them; and also to have all the newly-built barges between Lynn and Berwick come to Sandwich as swiftly as possible, with a suitable compliment of sailors, men-at-arms and archers.2) To Thomas Hunt, clerk, and Richard Jymeworth, to arrest all ships and barges between Lynn and Sandwich.3) To Robert de Woburn to arrest all ships of a tonnage of 30 tons and above between Hastings and Melcombe Regis.4) To James ...reverbyn and John Wrenche to arrest all ships of a tonnage of 24 tons and above between Chester and Melcombe Regis.
