He asks the Chancellor to give his response to Thomlyn Grisele, bearer of this petition.

- The order to restore the horses (m.22 of C 76/53, Carte, vol. II p. 102) is dated 17 May 44 Edward III (1370). This might be a response to the petition or, as the petition only mentions damages and expenses, with no mention of compensation for the horses, it might date from shortly after 17 May.
