- William de Clere states that he sent men at arms for his brother in aid of the King's last war in Scotland, at a cost of £50, that he had two letters of pardon in Nicholas's name, sealed with the seal of the Chancery of Ireland and the Dublin Exchequer, containing £150, and that the account for the £50 will be found in the Wardrobe, in the account of John de Hothome, then clerk of John Wogan, Justiciar of Ireland.
