Nature of request
William de Clere states that he sent men at arms for his brother in aid of the King's last war in Scotland, at a cost of £50, that he had two letters of pardon in Nicholas's name, sealed with the seal of the Chancery of Ireland and the Dublin Exchequer, containing £150, and that the account for the £50 will be found in the Wardrobe, in the account of John de Hothome, then clerk of John Wogan, Justiciar of Ireland.
Nature of endorsement
He is to go to the Keeper of the Wardrobe and show the evidence he has for the contents of the petition; and he is to account there and justice will be done to him.
