Note
A William de Farlee, clerk, occurs in CPR 1350-4 p.231 (dated 23 February 1352), and the name is found frequently in the Patent Rolls, attached to such titles as Controller of the Household (CPR 1358-61 p.262 (9 September 1359)) and Keeper of the Wardrobe (CPR 1358-61 p.401 (29 November 1360)). He is described as 'late Keeper of the Wardrobe' in CPR 1361-4 p.482 (14 March 1364), but was apparently still alive in 1375 (CPR 1374-7 p.197 (26 November 1375)). This petition has been given a tentative dating based on the hand and this evidence.
