[This petition is badly damaged] William Fitz Warin makes five requests:1) He requests a letter to Stephen, Bishop of Waterford, to institute an enquiry in Ulster into the people who committed various wrongs against him while he was in England, who sent them, and what damage they did.2) He requests another letter to Bishop Stephen [that the] verdict of the inquisition [be sent to England as he does not trust the justiciar].3) He requests a letter to Stephen, Bishop of Waterford . . . inquest by good and loyal men of Ulster if he has been served of the rent . . . and if it is found . . . that he might have power to put him in his estate.4) He requests a command to the same . . . Richard and the lands of the heirs of Henry de Mandevile might be held . . . until he is convicted by jury, if he has forfeited them or not . . . court to show their . . . William5) He requests a letter to the justices . . . Reginald de Grey for 14 marks which he owes to the same . . . King's [previous] command to render that debt . . . know that he has corn and . . . for which he might be . . .
