Hugh, son of Hugh de Gouceby of South Leverton, states that his father is paralysed and he cannot leave his chamber, and that several people of the country are wrongly impleading him and entering his lands and committing other wrongs against him, because he is unable to appoint an attorney. Hugh asks that he might be his attorney in all pleas, as he is his son and heir, and his inheritance will descend to him.
