- Robert Elyot states that Walter de la Fermery had a writ of trespass against him in the wapentakes of Holland, and that while the plea was pending on this Walter sued another writ against him for the same trespass before the King, and recovered 10 marks against him. He then recovered £10 against him from the first writ, by default of Robert who was in the Marshal's keeping for the 10 marks from the second writ of trespass. He requests a remedy, so that he is not punished twice for the same trespass.
