The chapter and community of the Isle of Ely, who have never been subject to justices of the Eyre of Cambridgeshire, but after the Eyre has finished are summoned to appear before the justices errant assigned by the bishop of Ely, or by the King during vacancy, in 40 days time and not otherwise, request remedy because contrary to the franchise of the Eyre of Ely the justices errant at Cambridge on Wednesday after St John last summoned them to be at Ely on Wednesday after the quindene of St John, which is only fifteen days later.
