Veer requests that whereas the King is bound to him, as the King's ancestors have been to his ancestors, in 20 marks yearly to be taken for the third penny of his county of Oxfordshire, which the King's ancestors have paid to the earl's ancestors, Edward I granted to the petitioner that the £10 which the earl owes the King for his manor of Yeldham should be allowed to him in the said 20 marks, [with the remainder] paid to the said earl yearly, whereon he sent his writ to the treasurer and chamberlains [of the Exchequer], that the King confirm this grant.
