Nature of request
The burgesses of Beaumaris request that whereas the Welsh people of the county of Anglesey sell and buy and hold their markets amongst themselves, and refuse to recognise the market of Beaumaris to the loss of the King and the petitioners, that such sales outside the town be forbidden and the market held at Beaumaris as is the custom.
Nature of endorsement
The justice should be ordered that the men of Anglesey are not to have a market elsewhere [but] shall come with their goods and things to the same market.
