1) Norleygh requests that that he may be restored to the keeping of his free chase of Bowland, granted to him for life by the charter of Thomas, late Earl of Lancaster, of which he was seised until the King's father seized the keeping into his hand because of his quarrel with Lancaster.2) Copy of Lancaster's charter granting the keeping of Bowland to the petitioner, dated at Penwortham on 26 July in the fifth year of the reign of Edward II [1311].
