Matthew requests remedy because le Despenser, as justice of the King's father south of the Trent, attached John, whose heir he is, at Leckhampstead for killing a stag in Windsor Forest, for which he was never indicted but remained imprisoned until forced to make a charter of his manor of Barnsley to le Despenser who remained seised of the same until his death when it was taken into the King's hand and then granted to the Earl of Kent, after whose death it was again seized into the King's hand.
