Prat and Daulard request remedy because Mudeford, from whom they purchased a ship at Helford last Easter for £20, paying £15 with the remainder due at St Peter ad Vincula then next, before this day came with force and arms with other armed men, that is, Ercedekene, Carminow, Bailey, Penryn, Seynt Maudys, John, Raskynnier, le Sour, Fynyen, Clerk (who had married Mudeford's daughter), Lym and Naght, and took away their ship and goods worth £60, chasing Daulard from the ship, to their damage of £100.
Nature of endorsement
Foxley [deleted], Stonore, Champernon and Treiagu, or two of them, should be assigned to hear and determine the transgression contained in this petition because the merchants are in rather distant parts and thus cannot sue at the common law.
