Nature of request
Writ of Edward III to John de Alveton, escheator of Oxfordshire and Berkshire, dated at Westminster on 8 February 1345, ordering him to hold an inquisition into an unlawful entry into the manor of Hamstead Marshall, which ought to have come into the king's hands following the death of Montacute, to whom the Earl of Norfolk had granted it for life.
