Writ of Edward III, dated 1 June 1345, to John de Alveton, escheator of Berkshire, ordering him to make inquiry into the manor of Hamstead Marshall, and the grant made by Thomas of Brotherton to the Earl of Salisbury, in connection with the case brought by the Segraves and the Montacutes over the inheritance of the manor.
