Walter, Archbishop of Canterbury requests that the King confirm the charters in which Henry II gave to Theobald, then Archbishop of Canterbury and his successors forever, the advowson of the church of St Martin, Dover, which advowson the archbishops held until the time of Edward I, by colour of a judgment made with the Prior of Holy Trinity, Canterbury.
