Name(s)
de Botreaux, Elizabeth

King and Parliament.
Nature of request
Elizabeth, wife of Botreaux who is in the King's service in Portugal, requests that whereas at the instigation of Carminow, Trevarthian, Penros and other enemies, Botreaux, wrongly and in his absence, was indicted for treason in Cornwall before Kentwood and Basset, that the indictment be shown in full Parliament before all the lords and that remedy be ordained. She also requests remedy because last year her husband recovered by assize of novel disseisin the manor of Trembethow against Trevarthian, Penros and others and was seised thereof until he went overseas when Trevarthian and others, at Penros's instigation, forcibly entered the manor, destroyed buildings, removed timber and drove away and carried off beasts and chattels of Richard Eyr, Botreaux's tenant there, to the value of 40 marks, though they are under the King's protection, and have also indicted Eyr of treason and other felonies, sending people to watch for and kill him.
Nature of endorsement
It was agreed and ordered in this Parliament that because Botreaux is in the King's service in Portugal and for other reasons shown in Parliament, that his indictment and that against Richard and William Eyr, Godman and others be suspended and nothing further done until the King orders otherwise.
