Nature of request
Grey requests that whereas John, Earl of Pembroke, by his petition at the last Parliament, was granted various charters and muniments touching his inheritance which were and are in the keeping of various men named in a schedule which Grey has delivered in this Parliament, that the chancellor be ordered to cause the charters and muniments to come before him in Chancery so that a plea pending between Grey and others concerning certain lands and tenements late the said Earl's can better be tried and justice determined, and to surcease Grey's plea until the charters and muniments have been considered.

The charters and muniments mentioned in this petition are to come by writ into Chancery with all haste where the petitioner can inspect them and have copies if he will, and those who have the keeping of the charters or muniments should present them in court so that they can be properly examined.
