The men of Guernsey request that sufficient people be sent to keep the Channel Islands until peace is established between the Kings of England and France and their subjects, so that the islands not be seised by the judgment of the court of France as were the island of Oleron, the bastide of St Sardos and the duchy of Aquitaine over which the war was begun.1)
