Note
Dated on the guard to c. 1286, with reference to CPR 1281-92, p. 245, letters to Adam le Tayllur nominating the petitioner as his attorney in England. In the entry for 'Jewry (The)' in A Dictionary of London (1918), the Jewry is described as being 'in the Ward of William de Hadestok' in the 3rd year of Edward I (1274-5) (Rot. Hund. I. 405). The places on the dorse are probably not connected with the petition; for identifications, see CIPM, vol. V, no.412.
