Nature of request
The garrison of Carlisle, whose wages are in arrears, request that the King send a letter to Welle that he account with them from St John Baptist of his time and that he cause them to be paid since he has received possession of the churches of Workington and Wigton and of other victuals, and that he come by sea to Whitehaven to pay them.
Nature of endorsement
They should have a writ of Chancery ordering Welle to account with them for the time when there was no account.
