Nature of request
Gare requests that the bailiffs of Lynn and Hull be ordered by writ to arrest the goods and chattels of men of Norway until his complaint can be proved. When Gare arrived by ship at 'Skaroldishund' on the Sunday after Martinmas last, his ship was wrecked but the goods in it (to the value of £200) and the men onboard landed safely, but on that same day the King of Norway's bailiffs and men robbed his men of the same goods. His men went to the King of Norway and asked that he make restitution of the goods but he refused.

He is to have a writ in Chancery to the King of Norway in accordance with his petition that he should have justice done to him.
