Nature of request
Cotoun requests that the chancellor be commanded to make a writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to make allowance to him in his account for the remainder of a sum due for skins that he delivered to the wardrober for the king's use, against the sum he owes for the farm of the city during his term as sheriff of London.
Nature of endorsement
He should show the bills that he has concerning the money owed to him in Chancery, and when they have been viewed let the treasurer and barons be ordered to make allowance to him for this money in the money that he owes.
