The burgesses request the restoration of the office of mayor and their charter of liberties, as these were taken into the king's hand by March, and they have paid 100 marks for their return.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.2) They should come to the Exchequer to the treasurer and he will tell them the king's will on this.
