Swyke requests remedy for the many trespasses committed against him by Grapinel as he has sued for a long time without receiving justice and his case has been long delayed by which he is impoverished.1)
Nature of endorsement
In Chancery: let justices be assigned oyer and terminer concerning the poverty and many trespasses.2) He should have a writ of trespass coram rege at the request of the petitioner.

The petition is dated to 1286-1307 because mention is made to Edward I's voyage overseas which occurred in 1286, and Henry Grapenel, the subject of the petitioner's complaint, was dead by December 1297 (CFR 1272-1307, pp.395-6).
