- Knovill requests the delivery of his lands which the king granted him for a redemption of 1,000 marks to be paid by instalments at the rate of 100 marks per annum for the sustenance of him and his wife.
- Nature of endorsement
- 1) It pleases the king that the treasurer inform himself if the king is able to do this without damage to himself, and the treasurer is to certify the king so that he can do what he thinks should be done according to reason. 2) It seems to the treasurer that these things pertain more to the will of the king than to the advice of others and nevertheless the treasurer is advised that the king can do what is requested by this bill without harm to himself if it please him, and the treasurer also . . . if the debt was sued.
