Nature of request
The jurats and commons request that the appointment of Amaneu de Fossat to the office of mayor be withdrawn and that the prior appointment of Odo de Lados to that office by the king's commissioners be granted and confirmed. Fossat is implicated in the factional divide in the city between Colom and Solers parties, and the reforms that they have planned with the agreement of Lados will be placed in jeopardy otherwise.

The petition is dated to 1311 because the response dates to 8 October 1311 (Gascon Roles 1307-17, p.158 (no.551)). The dating clause of the petition does give the year but dates to 23 May.
