Nature of request
[Petition in 4 parts:]1) Greylli requests in the name of his wife that the constable of Bordeaux be commanded that if he finds that Pierre de Bordeaux and his ancestors were of ancient accustomed to have their wine free of customs at the castle of Bordeaux that he allow it to pass free as the constable has recently been charging them custom.2) He requests that the seneschal Gascony, if he finds that the house of Ayran and the men residing there be of the jurisdiction of L'Isle St Georges where Greylli in right of his wife have high and base justice, be commanded to deliver that justice to them as Hastings when he was seneschal disseised them of this justice.3) Similar request concerning the high justice of Sainte Croix du Mont which the petitioner's father was granted by Edward, the king's father.4) He requests that the constable be ordered that if he finds by the letters of the king's father, and by the account of the Captal de Buch and Pierre de Bordeaux that the Captal and Bordeaux have remained unpaid for their wages and purveyances and other services that they made to the king that then they he be assigned the bailles of Entre de Mare and Puy Normant which were assigned to the Captal and Bordeaux but repealed, or the baille of St Foy until he is paid.
