Nature of request
[Petition in 4 parts:]1) Petrilia states that the King has granted his brother the office of castellan and execution of his seal of the castle of Montfaucon at pleasure. He asks that his brother might hold this office for term of life.2) Casalibus states that William de Tholosa, formerly Seneschal of Perigord and Quercy, wrongfully built a bastide called Montclera within the appurtenances of his castle of Cazals, unduly occupying it, to the prejudice of his jurisdiction there, and contrary to an amicable agreement that had been reached about his lands and jurisdiction. He asks that these actions might be revoked, and everything returned to its pristine state, or that the present Seneschal might be written to to do this.3) Tussorno requests the castellany of Tonneins in the Agenais for term of life, as his kinsman, Bertrand, Cardinal deacon of S Maria in Aquiro, has previously asked the King.4) Comarti states that the King has been pleased to make him a sergeant at arms, but that the Treasurer of the Agenais will not pay his wages. He asks that he might have one of the bailiwicks he has listed in the Seneschalcy of Perigord - of Roquepine, of Monpazier, of Villefranche, of Sauveterre, or of Cazals - in satisfaction for these wages.
Nature of endorsement
[On face] Letters of execution are to be sent to the Seneschal of Gascony on the aforesaid.[None on dorse].
