[The upper parts of the petition are not entirely legible. Petition in 6 parts:]1) Request for restitution for the destruction of their mill in the vill of St Sever.2) Request concerning the castle of Souprosse which St John, the king's captain in those parts gave to de Mota, he taking the fruits that pertained to the abbot because the abbot was on the side of France in the war.3) Request concerning the fruits from the castle and vill of Morganx.4) The abbot requests that the seneschal be commanded to force the vicomte de Tartas to make restitution and amends for the fruits from lands occupied by the French in the war and granted to Tartas, but now held against the form of the peace.5) Similar request concerning their land of Morganx occupied by the lord of Novaliis.6) [Largely illegible].
Nature of endorsement
[On face:]1) When the king will ordain for the making of emends in similar cases he will give consideration to this.2) Because he requests emends of the fruits . . . at the time of war the abbot was on the side of the French3) Answered as above.4) The seneschal should be ordered that he do on this according to the form of the peace.5) Let the seneschal be commanded to justice.6) Let the seneschal be commanded to do on this what reason demands.
