The petition is dated to? 1410 as although the matter of the lands and rents had been vexing the petitioner since 1401 the petition and the warrant that was formerly enclosed with it seem to date far more closely to a later stage in the matter when the temporalities of the chapel were seized into the king's hand and a commission made to examine the repeated obstructions of Tewe (CPR 1401-5, 66; CPR 1408-13, p.212)
