Nature of request
Chancy requests that he be granted a certain sum to be taken annually from the issues and profits of the hundreds of Stone and Catsash during the minority of the heirs of the earl of Huntingdon. He was granted sums from the farm of Grampound by the late king, and from Langacre by the earl of Huntingdon but these have been taken into the king's hand by an act of resumption.
Nature of endorsement
23 October, 8 [Henry IV], it was agreed by those present in the council [named] that the petitioner has what is demanded provided that the letters of the late king, the confirmation and the letters of the earl of Huntingdon are cancelled in Chancery, and should the late king's letters be found by the petitioner that he return them to be cancelled in Chancery.
