Nature of request
[Petition in 4 parts:]1) Lamote requests the king's aid so that he can continue in the king's service as he has sustained great losses in the king's service and defence in the war.2) Lamote requests that the lieutenant of Aquitaine be commanded to suffer him to use and enjoy justice and lordship both high and low in a place called la Laurence [with specified bounds] which came to him by his mother.3) Lamote requests that the king confirm to him and his heirs the office of Prevot of Bazas and the Basadais given to him by the duke of Lancaster and confirmed by the king's grandfather.4) [Entry partially struck-through].5) John Destau, daughter of Lamote's sister held the land of Destaux in the Bordelais, and Lamote requests that the land of Destaux be given to him as it was confiscated by the rebellion of Bernard and the land was bound with a certain sum to his sister in marriage, and she is dead and he is next heir.
