Nature of request
The citizens request a grant of pavage for 4 years so that the streets of the town can be repaved as they are in a bad condition and there is no way to make the people repair them.
Nature of endorsement
[Part of this response is concealed by conservation of the manuscript] . . . [they] had pavage, and therefore the Seneschal is to be ordered to inquire into what . . . has been done, and how much was received from that pavage and how . . . pavage. And the Seneschal is further to do concerning the granting of a new pavage what seems to him is to be done for the public good.
