[Petition in 4 parts:]1) They request that the king will keep them safely in his hand so that they do not suffer the damage suffered during the time of the king's grandfather.2) They request that the king make his will known to his keeper concerning the completion of the castle of Jerbourg which is vital for the defence of the Isles and which remains incomplete because the work is undertaken from the issues of the isles.3) They request that the keeper be commanded to keep and maintain the usages and customs, and that he be ordered to enquire of how the people were treated and governed during the time of Grandison.4) They request that they be free of all customs in buying and selling merchandises in England as the people of England are in the Isles.
