Note
The document is dated to c. 1327 based on the dating of C 47/28/1/1, the second part referring to Adam Orleton being bishop of Hereford and now of Worcester, and he was translated in September 1327. However, the schedule of articles that appears to have been annexed to this petition (SC 8/272/13585) has a response that has to date to 1330 as it refers to the parliament held at Westminster in the 4th year of the reign, though it is possible that this response was added quite some time after the submission of the petition as it refers to many writs being issued by the bishops of Norwich and Lincoln as chancellors.
