Nature of request
Maltravers requests that the sentence of banishment imposed on him in the parliament of 1327 be reviewed and lifted as it was made without him having the right to answer, and that the king will grant him safe-conduct to come into the kingdom and make answer.

This petition was delivered in full parliament by the wife of John Maltravers on the Thursday in the first week of Lent, but was not read.
