Nature of request
Pundreham and the other petitioners request that certain people be assigned to enquire of the trespass that they are alleged to have made by the chief keeper of the forest of Dartmoor, and that they can be mainprised, as they were taken as they passed on the road through the forest and have been imprisoned at Corfe for two years.
Nature of endorsement
Let the keeper of Corfe Castle be written to by writ of Chancery that he should deliver the petitioners to the sheriff of Dorset, and that by another writ to the sheriff that he bring them before the treasurer and barons in the quindene of Easter to make fine by redemption. And Sweynseye is to be summoned to be there to certify to the treasurer and barons of all the acts of the petitioners.
