- Guichart requests that the bailiff of the Isle be commanded to deliver him from prison if he is acquitted of the deaths of the Donnevants as he is prepared to put himself to a good inquisition, and if he is found guilty that he be punished according to the law and custom of the country. He was in Normandy when the accusation was made and knew nothing of it, and surrendered himself to the king's prison without compulsion.
