[Petition in 2 parts:]1) The commons request reinstatement in their previous position, and that they can elect a mayor as was previously customary. They also request reinstatement of their liberties which are eroded by foreigners who carry the profits of the city away.2) They request a grant of murage to repair the walls of the city.1)

Coram rege.2) The king understands the city is in a good state, and is not advised to change it.3) Concerning the merchants, the king understands that they are suitable, so he does not wish to remove them.4) The king understands that it is not necessary to grant murage.
