Nature of request
Dynineton requests letters to one of the bishops of Lincoln, Salisbury, Bath and Wells or Ely to grant him the next suitable prebend which falls vacant in recompense for his long service to the king in his Gascon war.
Nature of endorsement
The king wishes that he should request a prebend from the bishops, and if he is unsuccessful then he should return to chancery and again to write to bishop to bishop to provide for him . . . and certify . . .
