[c. 1322]

Petitioners
Nicholas de Stapelton.
Name(s)
de Stapelton, Nicholas
Addressees
King.
Nature of request
Stapelton requests that he be granted that he can pay his fine by instalments over years and that he be granted his lands as he has no other means by which to pay, having regard that his lands are destroyed by the Scots.

Note
The petition is dated to c. 1322 as the fine seems to have been made by the petitioner on 30 July 1322 and the reference to damage to the petitioner's lands by the Scots would fit a petition of about this date (CFR 1319-27, p.155).
